Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength.

There are a host of reasons one may decide to seek therapy. Most often, it is when we are in the midst of a troubling time in our life and feel a need to rest on firmer ground. Individual therapy is useful for dealing with a myriad of situations that provoke an unsettled state of being. Therapist and client work collaboratively to understand and dissolve the powerful emotions that may burden you and at times feel all consuming.

Working with a therapist can aid in identifying and expressing thoughts and emotions. Therapy is a valuable process for gaining insight into patterns of behavior and shifting narratives that no longer serve us and contribute to feeling as though we are stuck in our lives. Throughout individual therapy we learn to identify and work with our strengths and weaknesses. We gain a better understanding of ourselves through the process of the examined life and as a result, learn to manage symptoms and regulate our emotions so that we may live happier and more fulfilling lives.
